Greeeetings dA, how I have missed you.
First things first: I've probably lost a lot of, if not all, of my followers. Being away from this site for a year does that to a person. :3 I've starting uni (yay!) to embark on my dream of doing vet science (double yay!) to work in conservation (super dooper yay!). It has been rather hectic. I haven't opened Photoshop other than to edit some photographs in what feels like an æon. With that being said, I am a little- well, try a lot rusty on the old photo manippin'.
Secondly, SpiffyHorse is down, and has been a while. /insert sadface, yeah. I'm still moderating, but it feels an awful more like twiddling my thumbs due to an almost complete lack of coding knowledge. Stay strong, Spiffians!
Thirdly, my life outside of university is just as hectic. The woman in my life that I was closest to, my grandmother, passed away very suddenly of lung cancer at the beginning of this year. I feel quite lost without her, which makes the whole moving-away-from-home-to-study thing a tad more difficult. On the brighter side, she is the whole reason I'm doing vet science- being a fauna rescue carer, it was her passion for saving animals that motivated me into this position, and continues to do so. Rest in peace Grandma, I love you. Please, let nobody take their family for granted, because it can take just an instant for that to be taken away from you.
To conclude what is turning into a personal diary entry (sowwy ;へ:), I'm going to go launch up PS CS4 and either do some pixel art, or a horsey photo manip, to distract myself from a current assignment. I'm a great influence.
Orrrr, to go read my 11,000+ notifications on here. D:
Much love dArtisians!

Australia,... Sim Game Alert/Free Custom!
This is a rather late reply (2 months late, in fact) but... JAPAN WAS AMAAAAAZING. I am proud to call myself a little ski bunny, haha. We visited the Hiroshima War Memorial, Nijo Temple, Golden Pavilion, as well as many other awe-inspiring structures. Shopping at Harajuku was freaking brilliant. Being our unofficial translator for the trip was pretty cool- being one of only three on the trip with ANY knowledge of Japanese (!!)- and the fact that I could converse with strangers in a different language is so surreal. It's like kononekowaringootabemashitayo- wait, what? That was Japanese! *mindblown* haha.
I'm not even going to mention the eart
Sayonara, Oosutoraria!
Because I'm off to Japan tomorrow! ^-^
I'm leaving on the 12th of January (Australia time) until late on the 22nd. Apologies for the absence, etc etc. I'm so freaking excited; I've never even seen snow before! It's with our school for a ski trip, but as the annual Jap trip didn't go ahead (our school language is Japanese), we persuaded the sports teachers to change the venue from NZ to Nihon!
The downside of course is being 1 of 3 students who actually study Japanese out of a group of 20.
This could be fun... ;)
So basically, I'll see you in just under a fortnight, and I'll bring you all a souvenir- frostbite, jetlag, and a LOT of photos!
Free CUSTOM Pixel Avatars [comment!]
Mhmm, that's right! Free pixel avatars, ripe for the taking. Post a comment of your character, idea, concept- and you may be "lucky" (LOL) enough to receive one for free. Not too keen on avatars? Post anyway, and I may turn your idea into a full manipulation or pixel tag!
examples.

Winter
It's coming, can you feel it?
Well... actually, it's already here. Gotta love Australian winter... it drops to about 0 degrees Celsius for a single day, then steady twenties for the rest. Where I live, anyways. C:
SO. I just got back from a holiday to China, visiting Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Macau, and more, having an absolute ball. It was very relaxing to just pack up and leave, to be honest. And now, I suppose I should update my dA a little. I haven't loaded into Photoshop since May, so I'll probably attack a couple pictures, pronounce it art, and post it sometime soon. (x Deleted approximately half of the people I was watching... sorry if it

Eeep! I used to play spiffy horse about two or so years ago, then I left for awhile and came back and it had died or something. I'm so glad I read this post as I forgot all about it and may join up again when it's back. (:
